Mo Buckley Brown
i know now i do not have a good heart.
i have bruises on my abdomen
from guardian angels spitting cherry pits.
they call to my loved ones.
they recede with the winds.
i am trying to find you and someone else
is standing at the stove, stirring a pot,
arm on an infinite path
like following tree rings.
i am trying to make my life happen
within my life which is not happening.
i have lost count
of how many hours i’ve spent waiting
to be freed.
